Some diners note the efficiency and quick service, which speaks to the restaurant’s dedication to delivering fresh and piping-hot food promptly even during busy times. Although the area isn’t the most upscale, the vibrant, authentic dining experience is what truly shines.
What sets Pho Dai Loi #3 apart is not only its menu authenticity but also the deeply-rooted connection to Vietnamese immigrant culinary tradition. As noted by customers like Peter Hong, the restaurant is run by actual Vietnamese families, ensuring true respect for authentic flavors and cooking methods. This dedication creates a genuine experience, especially valuable in an area where some Vietnamese establishments have drifted toward more generic or westernized interpretations.

Its well-curated menu, combined with warm service and family heritage, makes this restaurant a must-visit destination in Duluth for all lovers of Vietnamese food.
I ordered a Pho Dac Biet (medium), pretty much has everything in it. We haven’t been in for years. My son always gets the Pho Tai (steak only). I like the restaurant because there is a lot of authentic dishes, other Vietnamese places nowadays are basic/bland and pretty much just bubble tea type of drinks. Even though it’s not the cleanest area to be in, food is good. And food came out pretty quick!
This is my first time eating Vietnamese pho in USA with my boyfriend! And wow the pho is insanely amazing delicious~ the soup taste was deeply flavorful and lots of meat with tangle noodles.
I've been to the original (Forest Park) and 2nd location (Buford Hwy) many times and I always leave happy and full. I didn't know there was a third location until a couple of months ago. This is the second time I've been here and the food and service are the same for all 3 locations, top notch. I had Pho Dac Biet (my go-to) and it came out a few minutes later. It was hot, flavorful, and filling. They gave a generous amount of veggies for me to add into my dish. I had size medium, which was $16. Because of the standard they placed on their food and service, I didn't mind it. Dai Lai Loi has always been my go-to Vietnamese restaurant and I will definitely be going again.
This is as close to the real stuff you can get, state-side. Compared to other vietnamese restaurants stateside, the pricing was also very reasonable (however...you can get the same stuff in Vietnam for close to 10 times less than what you can get here...). This place is run by actual Vietnamese immigrants...unlike many other Pho places that are run by Korean or Chinese owners.
A very popular Vietnamese restaurant. I don't mind being surrounded by a full of people, but you will be asked quite a few times what you are going to order right after you receive the menu. That was one drawback and it seems like they provide pre-cooked noodles when they are busy for the pho soup. It was tasty but was warm not hot.
The food here is incredibly authentic just like the food in Vietnam. My family especially loves the Pho, Bun Bo Hue and Bo Luc Lac. The portions are big and are quite affordable compared to the competition averaging about 10$-20$ per meal. However, my spoon was dirtier than I would expect at a restaurant.
Legit Vietnamese pho. You're basically eating authentic pho from VN in the US here, except for the price. We came right before opening, and as soon as the restaurant opened, it filled up. Now we experienced why. We got the pho dac biet and pho tai bo vien size medium. It was plenty. They're generous with the protein and that's a plus. We'll be back!
AMAZING Pho - very authentic taste! Food comes fast and GREAT pricing. $16-17 for a M bowl FILLED with meat and delicious broth soup. 10/10 def recommend.
